Our most recent trip from Franklin, TN all the way to the Dominican Republic has left a lasting impression on our hearts. Being a family Dentist, our mission on this trip was to help the children with their oral health and bring a smile to their face in the process. As we prepare for our next trip to Haiti this fall, we wanted to share a few more pictures from our Dominican trip with you. This is just a glimpse of what it looked like to serve the children of the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Hutchison and his son Zaine packed and ready to go in the wee hours of the morning.
This is a typical house in the first village that we visited called Valla Hondito just outside of San Juan de la Maguana.
Taking a break from the heat with the kids in a local spillway.
Alexander and Dr. Hutchinson with nothing but big smiles after Alexander had one of his teeth extracted by Dr. Chad.
Dental work in Las Charcas with the team.
On the right is one of the interpreters who was a huge help being able to communicate with the kids!
One of the many beautiful sunrises we saw in San Juan de la Maguana.
As children waited to be seen by Dr Hutchison, son Zaine taught and made rainbow loom bracelets for the children.
This trip was truly humbling and so rewarding. We love what we do, and being able to help so many children and families weather it be at home in Franklin, or somewhere else in the world. It's simply a pleasure to serve as your family dentist!
