Waking up this morning, there is something familiar in the air. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, flowers are blooming. After a very long winter, Spring has sprung! It’s time to put away the boots and sweaters and say hello to sunglasses and short sleeves. But before you stop and smell the roses, there are a few things you need to check off your Spring Cleaning list so you can fully enjoy the change of seasons.
Now when you think of “Spring Cleaning,” obvious things come to mind; organizing your closet, deep cleaning your house, or switching from flannel to cotton sheets. However, there are a few things that might not make your traditional list, yet feel amazing to tackle! So here they are:
Aspen Grove Dental’s 5 Unique Spring Cleaning Tips
1. Purge purge purge
Start with getting rid of extra clutter. Go through the house and ask yourself, “Have I used or worn this in the last 6 months?" If your answer is no, you can live without it. Make 3 piles: Keep, Donate and Ditch. This will free up space, get you organized, and help those in need.
2. Your Biggest Fan
Cleaning your ceiling fan is an easy miss. Your trusty friend can help cool you off but also make you sneeze. Simply wiping down the blades is a quick and easy task to eliminate irritating and agitating dust.
3. Expiration Date Hunt
Going through your pantry and fridge and checking expiration dates can save you some serious stomach pain, or worse. So often we forget to check that salad dressing that is always in the fridge... Not this year, if it’s expired, toss it!
Filling up a big glass of clean H2O right out of the fridge, is cleansing, but how clean is the water really? Water filters go unnoticed and are easy to put off. Start the season with a new filter. They usually are simple to replace and sold at your local appliance store.
5. Pearly Whites
Last, but certainly not least, the most important Spring Cleaning tip of all...Get your teeth cleaned! Shameless plug, we know, but now that it’s warm and you’ll be attending weddings, and outdoor parties, so don’t skimp on your teeth. Freshen up your smile and schedule a cleaning appointment today.
